The Challenge

Rooftop Vessel Delivery by Helicopter

The Akoya Penthouse is an expansive 4000 sqft rooftop luxury condo that soars above Miami Beach on the 48th floor with breathtaking views of the city below. When the owners requested an infinity pool to top off and complete modern home renovations, the Bradford team went to work fabricating and planning the expert installation of a 23-foot fully tiled pool by air.

The Solution

Infinity Edge Experience

To place a 23-foot vessel with incorporated hot tub on the roof of an existing building, our creative and results-oriented team at Bradford built the entire vessel in sections and transported the parts by helicopter. On-site, we fully-installed and tiled the pool, including two built-in bars with stools. Designed with a unique, free-form shape and raised spa with a spillover edge, our completed work provided a stunning, free-flowing infinity edge pool to overlook the Atlantic ocean and coastline.

The Solution

Lightweight Stainless Steel

An impressive rooftop experience, the Akoya penthouse project is a great example of the versatility of a stainless steel vessel. Since concrete could not be poured and formed on an existing rooftop at this type of elevation, a Bradford stainless steel elevated pool and spa provided the perfect solution. The light-weight nature of our pools allowed the vessel to be installed without threatening the integrity of the building’s structure – conveniently delivered by air and finished in a matter of weeks.

The Result
