Sustainability

At Bradford, we understand the importance of promoting environmentally conscious practices and materials in the fabrication of our products. The manufacturing processes that are used in the production of our systems are what is commonly referred to as “green,” or ecologically sound. We are located in an energy efficient factory located in a moderate temperature zone to avoid exorbitant heating and cooling fuel use, and also conserve resources by using EnergyStar® brand products when available. Water consumption is minimized and toxic chemicals and hazards are avoided during the production process, and packaging materials are reused to reduce waste.

Stainless steel is one of the most environmentally responsible and sustainable materials used in manufacturing today. At the end of its long life cycle, a stainless steel vessel will be 100% recyclable. The CNC laser technology and digital shear applications used in Bradford’s fabrication process allow for the maximum yield from every sheet of material, with the excess collected for recycling. Most painted surfaces produce harmful VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions, but since the chromium content of stainless steel forms a self-healing layer on the metal surface, no potentially hazardous protective coatings are needed. Because the stainless steel itself requires minimal maintenance compared to other typical pool or hot tub finish materials, there are significantly less chemical cleaners and treatments required for such vessels.

Leaving a minimal mark on our environment lets us call our products truly “stainless.”
